Created by Gabbs is a wedding, event and brand content business based in Windsor, Ontario, run by Gabby Gibbs. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. When it says “I” or “me,” that’s Created by Gabbs.

When you send an inquiry:your name, email, phone number (optional) and whatever you tell me about your plans: the type of event, date, guest count, location, budget range, vendors you’ve booked, how you heard about me and your message.

When you browse the site:anonymous usage information through Google Analytics, such as the pages you visit, roughly where you’re visiting from (city or region), your device and browser type, and how you arrived. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. I don’t use it to identify you personally.

I don’t sell your information, and I don’t collect anything I don’t need to reply to you and run the business.

Your inquiry details are used to reply to you, check my availability, put together a quote and, if you book, plan your coverage.

Analytics information is used only to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are helpful and how people find me, so I can improve it.

I won’t add you to a mailing list or send marketing emails unless you’ve asked for them.

Your information is only shared with the services that make this website work:

• Everex Media (Canada), which built and maintains this site and runs the form service that delivers your inquiry to me.
• Vercel, which hosts the website.
• Google Analytics, for the anonymous site statistics described above.
• Instagram, whose images appear in the feed on some pages. Viewing them may let Instagram see your visit under its own privacy policy.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.

If you book, the members of the CBG Collective covering your day will see the details they need to do that, such as your date, timeline and location.

The only cookies this site uses are the ones Google Analytics sets to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.

If you don’t book, your inquiry is deleted within 2 years. If you do book, your details are kept for as long as I need them for your project and for my business and tax records (up to 7 years, as Canadian tax law requires).

You can ask at any time to see the personal information I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can also withdraw your consent for me to use it, though if you’ve booked, that may affect my ability to cover your event.

To make a request, email createdbygabbs@gmail.com, use the contact page or DM @createdbygabbs on Instagram. I’ll reply within 30 days.

If you’re not happy with how I’ve handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Your information is sent over an encrypted connection and kept in password-protected accounts that only I and the people helping run the business can access.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
