A little celebration before the big one
Between the proposal and the wedding there is a long stretch of planning, and most couples have very little documented from it. Engagement content fills that gap. It can be a party, a dinner with family, or a relaxed session with just the two of you.
The point is not to stage anything. It is to capture the excitement of this chapter while it is still new, in the same candid style you would see on the wedding day.
It makes the wedding day easier
Being filmed is a skill nobody practises. An engagement session gives you a low-pressure rehearsal. You find out how the creator works, what it feels like to have a camera nearby, and how little direction is actually needed.
By the time the wedding arrives, the person documenting it is someone you already know. That familiarity shows up in the footage. People look more relaxed when the camera is held by a friendly face.
What a session can include
Engagement content is flexible. It can be built around a celebration that is already happening or planned as its own session.
- An engagement party, from the toasts to the dance floor
- A casual dinner or get-together with family and friends
- A one-hour photo session with the two of you
- Time in the CBG studio for a planning session or styled shoot
- Content you can use for save-the-dates, a wedding website or social posts
What you receive
A standalone photo shoot with Created by Gabbs starts at $200 CAD for a one-hour minimum. You receive unlimited photos and videos from the session, plus a 30-second reel that is ready to post.
Engagement coverage is also included with every wedding package, so couples who book a wedding can fold it into the plan rather than treating it as an extra.
Use the studio
Every client who books with Created by Gabbs gets access to the CBG studio for planning sessions, engagement content, styled shoots, or simply a beautiful place to meet before the wedding. It is a calm space to talk through your timeline, look at examples and get a feel for the day.
